I am originally from Philadelphia, PA, and graduated with a B.A. in psychology from Temple University. My background prior to becoming a chiropractor included working with brain injured and cognitive challenged individuals. Unfortunately, throughout high school, college and my early career, I suffered from episodic headaches as well as secondary stomach pain from taking over-the-counter medication to “control” the headaches. This didn’t align with my health/wellness philosophy that I was forming since becoming a vegetarian at the age of fourteen, yet the headaches were painful and I felt I had no choice. After not finding a solution for my headaches through the typical medical route, I finally discovered chiropractic through a close friend who went regularly. After a few weeks of receiving chiropractic care, I began having fewer and fewer headaches of much less intensity. I was so relieved and amazed at the results and found my professional calling after experiencing my body’s ability to heal itself.
I moved to Atlanta to attend Life Chiropractic University and completed a Doctorate of Chiropractic in 1994. After graduating, I opened my family practice in the DeKalb County/Emory area. I LOVE my life as a chiropractor and consider it a calling. To regain health, it is vital to make sure your nervous system is functioning properly. It is amazing to see how the human body returns to health when you remove the block to that healing. Chiropractic holds the key!

I am originally from Montego Bay, Jamaica, but moved to New York to attend Binghamton University in 2004. After 3 years in a pre-med program, I became conflicted about continuing because the focus was on sickness instead of HEALTH. Serendipitously, a close college friend of mine told me about chiropractic and the philosophy that our bodies have the intelligence to heal, grow and maintain ourselves once interference to those processes is removed. A spark was ignited and I knew that a profession that enabled me to care for patients with my hands, without drugs or surgery was the career and lifestyle I was looking for. As a result, I bee-lined to LIFE University in Atlanta, GA in the Fall of 2008 to start my chiropractic journey.
I then met my beautiful wife Lena, who is from Germany, while a chiropractic student and we now have three Germ-aican children! Lora and Noah are 6 and 4 years old respectively and our new addition, Mia, was born in February of 2016! I enjoy playing tennis, chess and Nintendo Wii games with my family. I also enjoy brisk (but short) runs as I was formerly a sprinter in high school.
We moved to Decatur on December 1, 2015 to maximize the opportunity to be a part of the incredible team at Sherwood Chiropractic Center and live in the vibrant and diverse community ITP!
I hail from Milwaukee, Wisconsin where I began my life in service working as a live in care assistant for victims of traumatic brain injuries. At that time I also studied martial arts which took me to many parts of the world and opened my mind to the potentials of the human form and mind. I evolved my work into massage therapy after studying therapeutic massage in Milwaukee. While working as a massage therapist I began to also work as an x-ray technologist for a chiropractor in Waukesha, Wisconsin. After several years of observing the wonders that chiropractic helped people accomplish and seeing the results of chiropractic care in myself as well as my own family, I enrolled into Life Chiropractic College in Marietta Georgia. I Graduated in 2015 with the Distinction in Chiropractic Philosophy. I am eager to serve you all in your journey to a healthier and more whole self.
