Meet the Doctors
Dr. Kathleen Sherwood

I am originally from Philadelphia and graduated from Temple University in 1986, summa cum laude, with a B.A. in psychology. I spent the next few years working with brain-injured individuals and began applying into doctoral programs for cognitive psychology. During this time I struggled almost daily with terrible headaches that were growing in intensity. I was also developing stomach ulcers and other secondary health problems from all of the pain medication that I was taking. I remember seriously doubting whether or not I would be able to return to school. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired.
A friend practically dragged me to her Chiropractor for a consultation. I began treatment with her and within a short period of time my debilitating headaches went away completely. I was absolutely blown away because I had had them for almost ten years and I had tried everything I knew of to get rid of them.
After experiencing what was for me, nothing short of a miracle, I knew I had found my calling and moved to Atlanta to attend Life Chiropractic College. I received my Doctorate of Chiropractic cum laude in 1994 and have practiced in the Atlanta area ever since. Practicing Chiropractic has truly exceeded my expectations of a satisfying career. Assisting patients of all ages in getting out of acute or chronic pain and moving on to higher levels of health and energy has never been anything short of gratifying! If you are interested in exploring if Chiropractic can provide a solution for your health concern please contact me. I am committed to reconnecting you to your natural birthright of having a healthy, energetic, and pain-free body!

Dr. Thomas Cranmer

I am originally from Bordentown, NJ. I had an intense introduction to what stress does to the body back in 1993 when, as a young fellow, I joined the Army. I left New Jersey at 19 years old to embark on this new career. I had no idea at the time where that would lead me or where I would eventually end up. I served my country in Somalia as an Army Ranger. Directly after 911, I served as a supervisor of the Tunnel and Bridges Security, and I currently hold the position of Senior Logistics Manager in Ft Jackson, SC. The great demands, long hours and incredible responsibility taught me about commitment, passion and follow through, something I took with me on my journey to becoming a chiropractor.
I got my start in the chiropractic field 12 years ago as a massage therapist and Chiropractic Assistant under the wonderful mentorship of Doctors Eric and Denise Evans, both of whom I owe great tribute to my success as a chiropractor today. Working in their office I learned about healing. I saw miraculous changes happen to those under chiropractic care!
This was so exciting to me because I realized how incredible the body is as a self-healing mechanism. As a massage therapist, I was restricted to providing only temporary relief to my patients when nerve interference was present. So, onward I traveled to pursue chiropractic with the intention of serving others in a greater capacity.
I entered into Life Chiropractic School in 2001 to only be called again by my country and serve a year doing homeland security in New Jersey. I was one year into my education when this happened. This was a long year for me, anxiously waiting to get back to my one true passion. When my year was finished, I moved to South Carolina and attended Sherman College of Chiropractic.
It is there that I embraced the art of Chiropractic with reckless abandonment. I became a member of the World Chiropractic Council and over the last three years have traveled to Denmark and Australia to discuss chiropractic and become more educated in the field of chiropractic. At Sherman I had an extremely high number of patient visits and have had testimonials written by patients who have had spontaneous healing because of the chiropractic care they had received. I have seen hemiplegics regain sensation in their extremities, allergy suffers breathe normally again, children get relief from ear infections, and diabetics stabilize their blood levels.
I am passionate, and I am excited to bring chiropractic to you now. With my wife Shannon, sons Brody and Samuel, it is here in GA that we hope to grow our roots and become an integral part of Sherwood Chiropractic Center. This office has all of the facets of my ideal healing center. The staff and community is dynamic, and I look forward to a long and exciting journey here.
